Hi, I’m Zack.
I’m the photographer behind Shot by ZackRR95. I’m drawn to quiet expressions, small details, and fleeting moments that are easy to miss.
My approach
Photography that stays true to the moment.
I started photography in September 2024 as a creative way to slow down, be patient, and pay closer attention. What began as a hobby quickly became a passion for wildlife, botanical details, landscapes, pets, and expressive portraits.
Away from the camera, I work in both animal care and accounts payable. They are very different kinds of work, but both rely on patience, empathy, careful observation, organization, and attention to detail — the same qualities I bring to every photograph.
Outside of work and photography, I’m a huge baseball fan and always rooting for the Toronto Blue Jays. I love going for walks along the waterfront, hiking, swimming, spending time with animals, and unwinding with movies, gaming, and a good sci-fi or fantasy story.
I favour natural colour, honest texture, thoughtful light, and careful edits that preserve the subject rather than reinvent it. When I’m photographing wildlife, respect and patience come first. The best photographs happen when the subject is allowed to be itself.
I want each finished piece to feel personal — something that can live comfortably in a home, start a conversation, and reward a second look.
